Raised by Wolves

Raised by Wolves is a science fiction drama series created by Aaron Guzikowski and directed by Ridley Scott. Set in a distant future after Earth is destroyed by religious war, the story follows two androids—Mother and Father—tasked with raising human children on the mysterious planet Kepler-442b. The series explores themes of faith, artificial consciousness, survival, and the nature of parenthood in a hostile environment populated by strange creatures and competing human factions.

The show aired for two seasons on HBO Max (2020–2022) and became known for its ambitious worldbuilding, visual effects, and philosophical questions about religion and technology. It featured a diverse cast and drew comparisons to other prestige sci-fi dramas. Though cancelled after season two, it developed a devoted fanbase and demonstrated HBO Max's commitment to high-concept speculative fiction.
