Rest of World

Rest of World is an independent news organization founded to cover how technology is changing lives in regions often overlooked by mainstream tech media. The outlet focuses on reporting from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other areas where technology adoption and impact differ significantly from Western narratives. Rest of World publishes investigative journalism, features, and analysis examining topics like internet access, digital labor, cryptocurrency adoption, and tech policy in the Global South. The organization operates as a nonprofit and has become a significant voice in expanding the geography of technology journalism beyond Silicon Valley-centric coverage.
